Kristie Blackwood - Saturdays 8am-2pm

-Originally from lower Michigan, Kristie Blackwood spent two years in the UP and four years in Wisconsin where she lost her first husband and moved to Northeast Michigan after connecting with the love of her life, someone she has known for over 30 years. Kristie currently resides on the heavenly shores of lake Huron. Kristie is an extremely proud mother of four sons and blessed to be a stepmother to an additional son and daughter. She is a registered nurse and an author of three published books under her author name KLNelson that can be found on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Walmart.com. Kristie also owns her own business with her husband, “US Route 23 Leather and Western Wear” in Oscoda, MI. Never shy to express her faith in the Lord, Kristie’s true passion is being a caregiver. She says she lives life always following whatever God’s purpose is for her. She enjoys multiple genres of music, having grown up on older country, country and the blues are her favorite to listen to. She is a fan of Motown, rock n roll, and oldies as well. In her downtime, Kristie enjoys watching football, riding her Harley, and sitting on the beach. Kristie says she is honored and excited to be a part of the Watz family as a new on air personality on Saturdays from 8am -2pm.
