More Rain - Warmer - Less Snow for February

The month of February goes into the record books as being warmer with more rain and a lot less snow.

The mean temperature for the month was over 22 degrees (22.5), which was just over two degrees (2.2) warmer than normal (20.3). The warmest temperature recorded was on Tuesday (27th) with a record setting 61, beating the previous record of 54 set in 2000. The coldest temperature was minus 13 (-13) on the 5th.

Precipitation totaled nearly one and 3/4 inches (1.74), which was nearly a half inch (.42) more than normal (1.34).

And snowfall was lagging as only eight inches was recorded for the month, which is nine and a half inches (9.5) lower than a normal of over 17 (17.5).

The seasonal total stands at just over 37 inches (37.1), which is 29 inches lower than a normal range of just over 66 (66.1).
