Gas Prices Up Slightly

The current state average price of $2.49 for a gallon of regular gas is up by nearly five cents in the past week (4.5), which is 19 cents higher than last year.

Northeast Lower Michigan saw slight increases, however in Alpena, the price jumped by 25 cents last Thursday, and then rolled back slightly, but maintaining some of the highest prices in the region.

As of this (Monday) morning, Tawas was $2.25... Oscoda $2.41... Gaylord $2.43... Grayling $2.46... Alpena $2.53... Cheboygan $2.54... and Rogers City at $2.59.

The state low and high ranged from $2.05 and $2.89 while the national average was $2.52.
