Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council Recruiting for Positions

Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council is currently recruiting for fishing, higher education, tourism/recreation, maritime industry/business, and citizen-at-large members and alternates to serve on the council.

The advisory council provides the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries with advice and recommendations on the management of the sanctuary.

The council meets bi-monthly, with informal coffees and lunches scheduled for non-meeting months and working groups meet as needed. The fifteen alternates also take an active role in council meetings as well as assist in carrying out many volunteer assignments throughout the year.

Applications are due by a March 16th deadline that has been extended.
