On Thursday (February 22nd), detectives from the Huron Undercover Narcotics Team (HUNT) arrested a 36-year-old female and a 36-year-old male for manufacturing methamphetamine and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
HUNT officials say each count is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine.
They added both subjects are from Alpena and were lodged in the Alpena County Jail. Additional charges are pending review by the Alpena County Prosecutor’s Office. Because this is an ongoing investigation and additional arrests are expected, limited details are being released at this time.
HUNT was assisted by agents from the Michigan Department of Corrections Probation/Parole Alpena Office, troopers from the Michigan State Police Alpena Post, and members of the Michigan State Police Seventh District Methamphetamine Response Team.
