Moose Population Down

Michigans moose population is growing at a slower rate than usual and warmer
temperatures may to be blame.

The Detroit News reports that the moose population in the Upper Peninsula has
dropped by 2-percent each year since 2007.

Scientists think a warmer climate has bolstered the white-tail deer population,
which is significant because that animal carries a parasite that is lethal to
moose.
