DARE VS Detroit Lions in Basketball

The Alpena Drug Abuse Resistance Education program in Alpena is sponsoring a basketball game between the D.A.R.E. All Stars and Detroit Lions alumni.
The event takes place Friday (5-12) at Thunder Bay Junior High School located at 3500 South Third Street in Alpena. Tip off is at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided at the game free of charge to kids who attend. Pictures with, and autographs of the Detroit Lions players themselves will also be available.
Tickets are $20.00 each, or $50.00 per family and can be purchased by calling 800-445-2143 or online at alpenadare.publicsafetypsa.com. All proceeds stay local and it go into programs for students.
Launched in 1983, D.A.R.E. is a comprehensive K-12 education program that teaches kids the dangers of drugs, violence, bullying, issues involving internet safety, and other high risk circumstances that today are too often a part of students' lives.
