The Pistons have the night off. Detroit will shoot for a second straight win on Tuesday night when the Bucks come to town. Detroit moved to 17-and-27 with a 104-102 victory at Orlando on Sunday. Guard Rodney Stuckey did not play against the Magic. Head coach Lawrence Frank said it wasn't because of injury or illness, just a coach's decision.

College basketball has two number one teams this week. For the first time in 21 years, the Michigan basketball program earned a Number 1 national ranking Monday when The Associated Press released its new Top 25 poll. The Wolverines, who improved to school-record 19-1 with a win over Illinois on Sunday, moved into the top spot for the first time since 1992. Kansas, which is number two in the AP poll, is the new number-one in the USA Today top-25 men's college basketball poll. The Jayhawks finished just three poll points ahead of number-two Michigan. Michigan State is 13th in the AP poll and ranked ninth by USA Today.

Michigan's Glenn Robinson III was named Big Ten freshman of the week Monday after helping Michigan to a pair of wins. Robinson scored 12 points in Thursday's victory over Purdue and 12 at Illinois on Sunday. Robinson earned his second freshman honor this month and the sixth for the Wolverines this season. He averaged eight rebounds and shot 10-of-14 from the field in the two games.
