Red Wings coach Mike Babcock switched things up at today's practice by taking
Pavel Datsyuk off the first line. Datsyuk was taken off the wing of the first
line and centered the second line. Babcock split up Datsyuk and Henrik
Zetterberg, but said the two would play together on the power play. Defenseman
Jakub Kindl and forwards Darren Helm and Todd Bertuzzi practiced and are
expected to play against the Wild on Friday at home.

Michigan will play host to Purdue tonight in Big Ten basketball at Crisler
Center. The third-ranked Wolverines are coming off an 83-75 win against
Minnesota last Thursday, while the Boilermakers have won three straight. U-of-M
is 11-and-0 at home this season. Michigan and Purdue split a pair of meetings
last season.

The Pistons have the night off. Detroit will continue a three-game road trip on
Friday night at Miami. On Wednesday, the Pistons blew a 17-point, second-half
lead and lost to Chicago, 85-82. The Bulls have won 17 in a row against
Detroit, whose last win in this series came at home on Dec. 23, 2008.

Central Michigan football coach Dan Enos, following a 7-6 season that included a
win over Western Kentucky in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, has been given a new
four-year contract. The new deal adds one year onto Enos' previous contract and
extends through the 2016 season. The 2012 season was the third at CMU for Enos,
a former Michigan State quarterback. His record at CMU is 13-24 overall, 8-16 in
the MAC.
