MSU will return to the hardwood tonight at Penn State. The Spartans enter play with a 3-and-1 mark in the Big Ten, while the Nittany Lions are 0-and-4 in conference action. Michigan State is coming off a 66-56 win at home against Nebraska. Penn State is coming off a 60-42 loss to Purdue on Sunday in West Lafayette.

Two Michigan State University basketball players got into a fight with each other this morning (Wednesday) just hours before the Spartans take the court at Penn State. According to reports, Adreian Payne and Branden Dawson got into an argument on the second floor lobby at the Nittany Lion Inn, a hotel on the Penn State campus, and then threw punches. As punishment, coach Tom Izzo said Payne and Dawson would not start the game for the 18th-ranked Spartans.

The Tigers have invited 17 non-roster players to spring training, including utility player Don Kelly. Kelly hit .186 with one home run and seven RBI for Detroit last season. Tigers ptchers and catchers will begin camp in Lakeland on February 12th, while the first full-squad workout is on February 15th.
