The Alpena High School hockey team will be having a teddy bear toss during their Wednesday (December 20th) game vs Petoskey. Bring a new or clean and gently used teddy bear, which will be tossed on the ice after the Wildcats first goal. They will be collected and donated to charity in time for Christmas.

Thunder Bay Basketball Association 2018 sign ups end December 27th. The program is for all boys in grades 3 - 6 and costs $50.00. Sign up at Shalla's Market or Plowmans Collision.

Youth Can Learn To Ski For Free - A six week cross country ski camp will be held Sunday afternoons at the Aplex from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. starting January 21st - February 25th. Instruction and equipment provided during the five week class that ends on week six with a fun race. A $10.00 deposit is required and you must register by January 12th. On any Alpena Public School Snowdays, Northern Lights Arena in Alpena holds a free open skate between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Skate rentals cost $2.00
