DNR Sells Surplus Land

A sale of surplus public land has been announced by The Michigan Department of Natural Resources.

The auction will run between December 12th and January 10th, as the department offers 80 parcels located in counties mainly in central and northern Lower Michigan
and in the Upper Peninsula.

Counties in Northeast Lower Michigan include Alpena, Cheboygan, and Oscoda, with parcels ranging from less then an acre to over 140 acres in size.

Properties are considered difficult to manage, provide limited public outdoor recreation benefits and some have riverside or lake front property.
