MSP Arrest Downstate Man on Numerous Charges

A downstate man was arrested on numerous charges by Michigan State Police from the Alpena Post and placed behind bars.

While troopers were on patrol Saturday (11-25), they saw a traffic violation on M-68 in Ocqueoc Township of Presque Isle County.

The trooper conducted a traffic stop, and made contact with the driver, a 49-year-old Grand Blanc man.

During the stop, the trooper observed a firearm case on the seat next to the man. The man admitted to the trooper that he was in violation of a restricted license.

Through the investigation it was determined the man had committed a number of violations. He was charged with license documents/plates - forgery, controlled substance - possession of marijuana, weapons - firearms - possession loaded firearm in/upon vehicle, operating - violation of license restrictions, operate - unregistered vehicle, and motor vehicle - operation without security.

He was lodged at the Presque Isle County Jail.
