After several inches of snow, Cheboygan Sheriff Deputies were kept busy Sunday (19) morning, as they investigated several accidents, including two roll overs.

The first rollover occurred at about 8:30 on Southbound I-75 in Burt Township when 24 year old Andrew Micovoch of Waterford lost control of his pickup on the icy roadway. He entered the median, and rolled several times. A passenger, 24 year old Brandon Dionne also from Waterford sustained non-life threatening injuries, and were both transported to the hospital.

Two hours later, another rollover occurred on northbound I-75 in Hebron Township. Twenty-three year old Alexandria Chmura of Durham, North Carolina lost control of her sport utility vehicle, entered the ditch and rolled. She suffered minor injuries, but refused treatment.

Speed was a factor in both rollovers, and Sheriff Dale Clarmont is reminding citizens to slow down as winter weather approaches.

He also advises motorists make sure their vehicle is in good running condition for winter and equip their vehicle with a safety kit, including non-perishable snacks, blankets and a flashlight.
