And then there were Five

Last month (November), the Alpena County Sheriff's Office took possession of 48 cats from a hoarding situation.

Referred to as the Mother Hubbard Crew, all but five of the cats were given new homes through adoption events. The remaining five are still available.

There is no adoption charge as sponsors have paid all fees. Each of the cats have been treated with a flea preventative and have been dewormed, and all of them are friendly. Adoptions will be handled by appointment only. For more informations, call 354-9841.

Pictures of the cats can be seen along with this story on our news page at WATZ.com.

On Friday, December 15th, the cats will be transferred to the Huron Humane Society where they have an adoption fee.
