Rogers City Enters Mutual Law Enforcement Agreement Wed, 07 May 2008 15:07:22 In the event of a future emergency in Rogers City, help will be available from all over Northern Michigan. The Rogers City Police Department has joined a mutual law enforcement agreement that includes numerous police agencies throughout Northern Michigan. The Rogers City Council voted to approve entering the agreement Tuesday night. It includes agencies in 19 counties pledging to help one another in the event of an emergency, including services from search and rescue and dive teams. Membership will cost the city 250 dollars per year. Police Chief Matt Quaine said that's a "good deal" because in the event of an emergency he can push a button and aid will start coming from all over. |
