Area School Election Results Wed, 07 May 2008 3:51:00 
Voting was light in area school elections Tuesday. In Posen, there are 4 candidates for 2 schoolboard seats. Andy Stone had 76 votes and was the incumbant. Doris Ponik decided to not seek another term. Write in candidates included: Jesse Chappa 38 Carie Paull with 35 and Jennifer Idalski with 7 votes So Stone and Chappa are the winners. ******************************************************************************* Rogers City Schoolboard Seats were also contested... with 4 persons seeking 3 seats. Armand Loiselle had 237 votes Robert Starnes III had 206 Lori Dix 175 and William Stypick 41 So the winners are Loiselle, Starnes and Dix Rogers City School District voters were asked to approve a headlee overide... 217 said yes while 69 said no.... so the measure was Approved. ******************************************************************************* For Onaway Schoolboard there were 2 individuals unopposed Terry Materna 119 Mitchell Winfield 112 ******************************************************************************* In Hillman, There were 2 candidates for 2 seats... for 4 years. Ernie Barnes (inc) And Deb Greene the winners as Donna Cook decided to not seek another term. ******************************************************************************* In Alcona, 3 candidates were running for 2 - 4 year schoolboard seats. Gary Sims had 145 (inc) Eric Dunkle had 154 (inc) Joe Blohm (bloom) had 85 So Sims and Dunkle were the winners. |
