State Police in Petoskey arrested a 42 year old Gaylord man for receiving and concealing stolen property after a breaking and entering of an electrical contractor business.

It was not the first time Petoskey Electric had been broken into, and this time video surveillance caught a red minivan on tape with an unusual sticker on the back and 3 subjects loading 500 pounds of copper from the business.

Just hours later, police monitored A and L Iron in Gaylord to see if the material would be disposed of locally. The suspects appeared in the same vehicle and started to unload the copper taken in the break in.

Authorities say in addition to the charge of receiving and concealing stolen property, other charges are pending against the Gaylord man and his accomplices.
