2 Sent To Hospital After Early Morning Crash Wed, 30 Apr 2008 7:47:24 Alpena City Police assisted by Alpena Fire responded to a 2 vehicle collision that resulted in 2 Glennie residents being injured. Police say just after 5 AM this (Wednesday) morning, a 75 year old Glennie man and elderly passenger was northbound on Ripley and ran a flashing red light at the Washington Avenue intersection. He collided with an eastbound vehicle on Washington, Both vehicles coming to rest alongside of the North Shore Home Furnishings building which caused moderate damage to the structure. The Glennie driver and passenger were transported to Alpena Regional Medical Center and was cited disregarding the flashing red light. The other driver refused treatment of minor injuries. |
