Phil joined WATZ in May, 2008,
after working as a newspaper reporter for just over a year. He has
previously worked in radio in the Marquette area, although nobody
seems to remember.
He was born in Alpena and raised
in Rogers City. He is a 2000 graduate of Rogers City High School,
attended Alpena Community College in 2000-02 and graduated from THE
Northern Michigan University in December, 2004 with a degree in media
production and journalism. He likes most sports, especially the
Tigers and U-M Wolverines. His favorite movie is Back to the
Future and his favorite TV shows include The Red Green Show, CSI
and the Simpsons.
When not at work he is usually
bouncing back and forth between Alpena and Rogers City. He spends free
time reading (especially newspapers), traveling, walking and starring
in shot-for-shot remakes of Monty Python movies.
