Phil joined WATZ in May, 2008, after spending a year
as a newspaper reporter in the area. He worked in the WATZ News
department through April of 2012, when he was promoted to Music Director
and evening DJ. He was born in Alpena and raised in Rogers City, where
most of his family still resides.
After graduating from Northern Michigan University in December,
2004, Phil spent time with Great Lakes Radio in Marquette, filling
several roles.
In addition to his music and evening DJ duties, Phil also helps
out in the news department and handles news and engineering at WATZ on
Sundays, including during the popular "Sunday in Poland" polka
show.
His hobbies include reading, some fishing and hunting, and
tormenting Conrad Bruski. He also has an unhealthy obsession with The
Simpsons.
