Jon joined the WATZ
sales staff in April of 2001, after working in sales at the Alpena Star
Advertiser for 14 years.
Jon grew up in Cadillac, Michigan. After graduating
from Cadillac High School in 1977, Jon went to Lake Superior State College
in Sault Ste. Marie and then spent a few years living in the Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Shortly after moving to Alpena in 1984, Jon met his future wife Jackie. They
married in 1989 and now have two children.
In his spare time, Jon enjoys spending time with his family, golfing,
camping, participating in various sports and coaching his kids and others in
baseball and basketball. Jon is also active in his church, currently serving
on its pastoral council and ushers club, and is a member of the Alpena noon
lions club and serves on a couple advisory boards in Alpena.
