Alpena’s Fourth of July Parade - NOTE TIME CHANGES:

1:00 P.M.  - Parade Starts - 11th Avenue to Chisholm, to 2nd Avenue to Fletcher Street to parking area near the Marine Sanctuary. WATZ WILL BROADCAST IT LIVE IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT !!!!

After The Parade - Rubber Duckie Race – Alpena Optimist Club - 9th Street Bridge. PRESQUE ISLE INDEPENDENCE DAY PICNIC

Saturday July 3rd,  Location: New Lighthouse Park, Presque Isle, MI

Time: The Children’s Parade starts at 10:30 a.m.
The picnic will be served from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

FIREWORKS at Dusk

Visit Presque Isle Michigan, which is halfway between Alpena and Rogers City, truly a maritime experience - home to two Lighthouses.
The oldest, built in 1840, is the smaller of the two and is no longer in service, but can be climbed.  The newest tower, built in 1870, is the tallest tower on the Great Lakes which is open to the public for climbing and is still in service.
Both towers have adjacent light keeper's dwellings which are restored and open to visitors.
